Long-Term Care

Personalized Long-Term Care with 24-Hour Skilled Nursing

For more than 60 years, Pickering Manor has been a trusted nonprofit senior living community serving Newtown and Bucks County.  From independent living through long-term skilled nursing, we provide compassionate care, meaningful relationships, and guidance every step of the way.

If you or a loved one is struggling or unable to remain safely at home or in their current living community, it may be time to consider a higher level of care. Pickering Manor offers a safe, supportive long-term care option for those requiring 24-hour nursing care.

Long-Term Care at Pickering Manor offers both private and semi-private accommodations, including private rooms with private bathrooms. Our smaller-scale setting allows our team to know residents personally—their needs, preferences, routines and the things that matter most to them.

All of 47 beds are both Medicare and Medicaid certified.

Experienced and Compassionate Nursing Care

Our nurses are experienced in their field and, just as importantly, they care deeply about the residents they serve. Our Long-Term Care team includes RNs, LPNs and CNAs who provide individualized care and support around the clock.

Depending on each resident’s needs, skilled nursing services may include wound care, IV therapy, catheter care, tube-feeding support and other clinical services. Our team also has extensive experience caring for individuals living with dementia.

Residents have access to on-site rehabilitation and therapy services when clinically appropriate, including physical, occupational and speech therapy. Our nursing team also provides individualized restorative care designed to help residents maintain their abilities, independence and quality of life.

Above all, care at Pickering is personal. Our team takes the time to understand the individual behind every care plan and create an environment where residents feel known, supported and at home.

Additional Clinical and Support Services

In addition to licensed nursing professionals on duty around the clock, residents have access to in-house physician care and specialists as needed, including podiatry, psychology, psychiatry, dentistry, ENT services and others. Diagnostic services, including lab work and X-rays, can also be provided on-site, along with pharmacy services.

Hospice and palliative care services are available when needed, allowing residents to receive comfort-focused care in the familiar surroundings of Pickering Manor. Respite care is also available for families who need short-term support, whether for a planned vacation, caregiver break or other temporary need.
