About Us
About Pickering Manor
A Legacy of Care. A Community for Today.
Pickering Manor has been part of the community since 1963, when Newtown resident Henry Russell Pickering generously bequeathed his home and funds to create a place to serve older adults in Newtown and the surrounding communities.
Today, Pickering Manor is a nonprofit senior living community situated on 13.3 acres near historic Newtown in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. As a Life Plan Community, Pickering offers a continuum of living and care options designed to support changing needs over time. The community is owned and operated by the Community Welfare Council of Newtown, a Board of Directors made up of local community members who continue the vision established more than six decades ago.
Pickering Manor offers Independent Living, Personal Care, Memory Care and Long-Term Care, along with rehabilitation services for residents when clinically appropriate. Our Long-Term Care Skilled Nursing neighborhood is Medicare and Medicaid certified.
As a nonprofit organization, Pickering Manor is supported by resident revenues as well as the generosity of individuals, businesses and community organizations. Through every stage of our growth, our mission has remained centered on supporting older adults in Newtown, Bucks County and surrounding communities to achieve the highest levels of independence, personal fulfillment and quality of life.
