Dementia / Alzheimers Support Groups
Dementia / Alzheimer’s Support Group
Are you a family member, friend, or caregiver for someone living with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease? Do you feel overwhelmed and need someone to talk to? Are you looking for a convenient, safe way to connect with others in the same situation?
If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, we invite you to join our dementia / Alzheimer’s support group at Pickering Manor.
This group give families and caregivers a change to connect, collaborate, share concerns, learn, and receive helpful support in a safe, supportive, and confidential space. The group also offers problem-solving techniques, caregiving ideas, and emotional and social support to those caring for loved ones who have been affected by Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.
Meetings are held the first Tuesday of every month from 10 a.m. to Noon at Pickering Manor, 226 N. Lincoln Ave. Newtown, PA (meetings may be virtual). Our dementia / Alzheimer’s support group is facilitated by Pickering Manor staff who have been trained by the Alzheimer’s Association.
